Child Therapy in Encinitas

Children may show stress through behavior, changes in routines, or feelings they do not yet have words for. Parents and caregivers may be trying to understand what is happening while managing their own concerns. Emma Bourroux, AMFT offers child therapy for ADHD, trauma, transition phases, grief, and the emotional impact of divorce.

A Note about Court Cases

We do not get involved with court cases. Child therapy is offered for emotional and relational support, not court-related services.

How Emma Works

Understand Your Child’s Needs

Emma considers your child’s age, development, and what they are having difficulty with at home or in daily life. The intake team can help you determine whether her services are a good fit for your child.

Support With ADHD and Emotions

Therapy can help children work through frustration, manage emotions, and navigate routines and expectations. Emma can also discuss how caregivers may be involved. Therapy does not replace medical evaluation or advice about medication.

Cope With Loss and Change

Divorce, moving, grief, and difficult experiences can be hard for children to understand or talk about. Emma takes a trauma-informed approach and lets children work through feelings at their own pace, without pressure to explain everything at once.
