Depression Therapy in Encinitas

Depression does not always look like sadness. It may feel like numbness, exhaustion, irritability, or losing interest in things that once mattered. Even small tasks can take a great deal of effort. Emma Bourroux, AMFT offers a space to describe that experience without having to make it sound more serious or more hopeful than it feels.

How Emma Works

Talk About What You Are Experiencing

Emma listens to how depression affects your daily life, relationships, and how you feel about yourself. You do not need to know why you are feeling this way or have a clear idea of what you want from therapy to get started.

Challenge Negative Thought Patterns

Narrative Therapy can help you examine beliefs about yourself, your responsibilities, and what you think you should be able to handle. These beliefs are part of your experience, not your whole identity.

Find Ways to Cope

Emma draws on DBT-informed skills to help you understand difficult emotions, manage distress, and ask for support. Sessions focus on what you are dealing with now and what might help.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
